Mary took her first yoga class in 2000 pregnant with her second child. From there Mary tried any yoga that crossed her path, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Kundalini, Bikram. Discovering her passion in her practice and the need to share it with kids and adults, she became certified to teach and holds a Yoga Alliance certification as a RYT-200 from the Deep Yoga School of Healing Arts, studying under Bhava Ram and Laura Plumb. Mary also completed the Full of Joy, Yoga for Children teacher training course.
Mary teaches multi-level classes, beach yoga (as her husband says “the beach is her dojo”), yoga flow, yoga chill, yoga for kids of all ages and works with people individually, grounded in the belief that yoga is for everybody, and can be practiced anywhere by anyone. “If you can breath, you can do yoga” (BKS Iyengar). She is inspired daily by her family, is grateful to all the teachers who have come into her life and strives to make her yoga classes, and herself, open to all and of this moment.
“The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.”
